Travel Vaccinations
The Practice no longer provides Private Travel Vaccinations
If you require vaccinations for your overseas holiday or trip, then please speak to your local Community Pharmacy who are able to discuss your upcoming trip with you and provide the vaccinations you need.
Those typically available are: Malarone (Malaria) tablets; Meningitis ACWY (over 25 years; Hep B (Engerix B); Tick Bourne Encephalitis; Japanese Encephalitis; Rabies, and Yellow Fever
It is important to make your appointment with the Community Pharmacy as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel. This is to ensure that there is sufficient time to allow for a primary and booster vaccination if required as some vaccinations are not effective immediately or require a series of injections.
Free NHS Travel Vaccinations
We are though able to offer certain NHS routine travel vaccinations free of charge together with a travel consultation with our Practice Nurses.
These include:
- Hep A
- Typhoid
- Diphtheria / Tetanus / Polio combined
- Cholera
